Can anyone shed any light on when the proposed works to PSM station are actually going to start, if at all?  There have been questions in the press over unpaid tax bills regarding the owner of street heritage, so i wondered if anyone knew anything.

That's what I thought.  It's a shame if it doesn't happen as it would be a good addition along the line.

Another victim of the credit crunch?. the plans for the building as submitted looked to be excellent and obviously there would have been a spin off for the railway with the improved passenger facilities. It can only be hoped that someone can be found to take over the building and restore it to its former glories as it will quickly go down hill if left in its present condition. One of the most imposing narrow guage stations in these islands, highlights the traffic that was once generated by Port St Mary in its heyday.

Well I think the Goverment should carry on with this project as an investment scheme to keep local builders in employment with the same view as before of having good quality tourist facilities with booking hall, cafe and luxury self catering appartments for railway enthusiasts.

As I'm sure others have noticed, there is some work being undertaken at PSM station.  Or at least, there's some scaffolding gone up.

Can anyone shed any light on what is being done?  Something tells me its probably just some remedial works to stop the building falling down rather than a full on restoration; but it is great to see some work being done.
